1. General Information

This site is operated by the Young Jurists Association, hereinafter referred to as ELSA Sibiu, a local group of the European Law Students' Association – ELSA Romania. It's dedicated to promoting events and activities carried out by the branch, hereinafter referred to as the Local Group. We recommend that you read the terms and conditions in full when you first access the site, as well as periodically. ELSA Sibiu reserves the right to update the terms and conditions without prior notice. Users expressly and unconditionally accept the terms and conditions by accessing or using the site. By accessing and using this site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this set of Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with them, you have the option

not to use our site at any time.

 

2. Purpose of the website

The main purpose of the platform is:

● to promote the activities and events organized by ELSA Sibiu;

● to facilitate registration for events (academic, social, career guidance, etc.);

● ensuring access to the organization's database and relevant resources for

association members;

● informing the target audience (law students, partners, sponsors) about the Local Group's news.

 

3. Access and accounts for members of the ELSA Sibiu Local Group

Access to certain features of the website (including event registration and viewing internal resources) is granted exclusively upon authentication with the institutional email address of students enrolled in the Faculty of Law – ULBS.

Users are responsible for the confidentiality of their login details and for any activity carried

out through their account.

 

4. Collection and use of personal data

This website may request personal information for the purpose of identifying the user, collecting registration forms, etc. This information will be requested expressly, and the user has the option to refuse to provide it. ELSA Sibiu may collect the following types of data:

● first and last name,

● institutional email address,

● phone number (optional),

● faculty and year of study,

● other information relevant to the event (e.g., CV, cover letter, preferences, etc.).

Use of data;

The data is used exclusively for:

● processing registrations,

● sending reminders and notifications regarding ELSA Sibiu events,

● compiling internal statistics on project participation,

● communicating with partners/sponsors in the context of a specific event, only in cases where this is necessary and justified.

All data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy in force.

5. Sharing data with third parties

In certain cases, data may be made available to:

● partners or sponsors of the association, exclusively in the context of a jointly

● organized event,

other student organizations or institutional collaborators, if participation in a project involves sharing registration data.Data transfers are only made in the situations described above and in compliance with the principles of minimization and legality, in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

6. Intellectual property

All materials published on this website (texts, images, logos, PDF documents, graphic

design, source code, etc.) belong to ELSA Sibiu or are used with the express permission of

the rights holders.

It is prohibited to reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without the prior written

consent of ELSA Sibiu.

7. Communications and notifications

By registering for events or subscribing to ELSA Sibiu notifications, users agree to receive:

● informative emails about the association's events,

● reminder notifications related to registrations, deadlines, and required documents.

Users can unsubscribe at any time via an "Unsubscribe" link or by sending a request to the organization's official email address: elsa.sibiu@ro.elsa.org

The website may contain links to external platforms (e.g., pages of partners, universities, sponsors, etc.).

ELSA Sibiu assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policy, or security of those websites.

9. Limitation of liability

ELSA Sibiu makes every effort to maintain the functionality and accuracy of the website.

● we do not guarantee the complete absence of technical errors,

● we are not liable for any data loss or unforeseen interruptions,

●use of the website is at the user's own risk.

ELSA Sibiu reserves the right to periodically modify this document. Any updates will be

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Romanian legislation.

Any disputes shall be settled amicably or, failing that, by the competent courts in Sibiu

County.
